Creativity is something that is hard to control. Being in the business of providing clients with creative concepts on a daily basis is nothing new to me. Although it is always a bit of a struggle from time to time. ‘, ‘People have their own ways of drumming up creative thoughts. Whether it be a late night caffeine induced flurry of thoughts or early morning (possibly also caffeine induced) sparks during the silence when others are sleeping.
Like a cliche of a Gwen Stefani commercial creativity isn’t something that you can just turn on and off. When you have it you just have to run with it. This is entirely true. I find that I do work best either late at night or very early in the morning. I need to have a good strong cup of coffee, some good music via headphones, a notebook or my laptop and I am off. It’’s that environment that just lets me get into the zone
When no one is watching, you can have that creative space to let your mind wander. That is also what spurred me to create this site. It’’s a place to explore my creativity. I love working with clients and delivering creative ideas. But like most commitee driven projects the creativity gets widdled down until the company is comfortable with the idea. It is very rare that you can deliver an idea like subservient chicken to a corporate client. So needing a space where you can explore creativity will help me deliver better ideas to clients
Like many other creatives I have many ways to find inspiration. Some of the other ways that I explore creativity is by reading a ton. Some of that reading being blogs, news, books or others. I love reading magazines as well. One of my favorites being Rolling Stone. I get inspired all the time while reading that magazine. I also love looking at other people’s photos on Watching videos, movies, or listening to music as well.
Some may find this funny but I also love being creative with cooking. I love to cook. It all boils down of different ways to express that creativity. So find a place to express yourself and explore that creativity whenever it hits.
